2023 Dodge Charger Engine Options

The Dodge Charger's legendary status is thanks in part to the powerful engines it offers. The SXT and GT trim levels employ a 303-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine with 268 lb-ft of torque. The R/T trim is available for drivers seeking a bit more get-up-and-go with a 5.7L HEMI V8 that delivers 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. The R/T distinguishes itself with a '345' badge on the front fenders, signifying the engine's cubic inches. The Scat Pack trim comes next with a 6.4L HEMI V8 that lays down 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. This replaces the R/T's badge with a '392' badge noting the larger engine size. Lastly is the SRT lineup, which features the Hellcat, Hellcat Redeye, and Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak. The same engine powers these three models; the legendary supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8. In the Hellcat, it offers 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the Hellcat Redeye features 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. For the Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak, the engine is tuned for 807 horsepower! All four engines pair with a robust eight-speed automatic transmission powering the rear wheels. The GT and all following trims have steering wheel paddle shifters for an in-command driving experience. While rear-wheel drive is standard, the SXT and GT trims can be had with all-wheel drive for better performance in inclement weather.

What Features Come Standard with the 2023 Dodge Charger?

There is an extensive list of standard features for the 2023 Dodge Charger that only gets longer as you look further into the trim-level lineup. Looking at the entry-level Charger SXT from the outside, you'll notice newly standard LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, 17-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable side mirrors, Keyless Enter n' Go passive entry, remote start, and more. Meanwhile, the interior keeps you comfortable and connected with cloth upholstery, an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, six speakers, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilting/telescoping, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an electronic T-shifter. Climbing the trim level ladder gets you things like larger wheels, a rear lip spoiler, dual heat extractors on the hood, a functional hood scoop, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, built-in navigation, and much more.

What is the 2023 Dodge Charger Last Call Lineup?

Being the Charger's last model year in its current form, the entire 2023 Charger lineup is being called the 'Last Call.' Each 2023 Charger has an underhood plaque with 'Charger' in big bold letters over a silhouette of its side profile. Meanwhile, underneath the silhouette, you'll find 'Designed in Auburn Hills' and 'Assembled in Brampton,' noting the vehicle's origins. Dodge also brought back previously discontinued colors, including Sublime green, Destroyer Grey, Plum Crazing, and B5 Blue. To celebrate the Charger's long-running history, Dodge created three special editions. The first is the Swinger, paying homage to the Dodge Dart Swinger, introduced in 1970. The Charger Swinger Special Edition features a Matte Black 'Swinger' decal in a retro font on the rear fender flares and Gold School gold accents on the hood pins, badges, and wheels. Meanwhile, the Super Bee also brings back a classic model by the same name. The Super Bee brings out a chrome Mopar hood pin kit, Super Bee rear fender graphics, an Angry Bee hood graphic, red Brembo brake calipers, black exhaust tips, and an SRT performance hood. The Swinger and Super Bee are based on the Scat Pack trim and are available with the Widebody package, which adds 20-by-11-inch alloy wheels and fender flares. The last special edition is the King Daytona, paying homage to the bright orange 1969 Charger Daytona raced by Willie Robinson. It comes in GoMango orange and features Matte Black King Daytona graphics on the fender flares. Other King Daytona features include a black spoiler, a chrome hood pin kit, orange Brembo brake calipers, and Satin Chrome exterior badges. Based on the SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak, the King Daytona boasts 807 horsepower.
