You can't be the fastest and most powerful sedan in the world without an impressive engine. That's why the 2019 Charger SRT Hellcat comes equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 that delivers an extraordinary 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. All that power means you need some lofty brakes, that's why the SRT Hellcat comes with six-piston Brembo ultra-high-performance brakes. The HEMI V8 engine is paired with a quick-shifting TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted shift paddles.

The SRT Hellcat comes equipped with launch assist which uses wheel speed sensors to watch for driveline-damaging wheel hop at launch and modifies the engine torque to regain full grip. Line lock engages the front brakes to keep the SRT Hellcat in one spot while the rear wheels are free for a burn out to heat up and clean the rear tires. After-run chiller keeps cooling the supercharger and charge air cooler after the engine is shut off. The SRT Hellcat also comes equipped with torque reserve which closes a bypass valve to prefill the supercharger and manages fuel flow and spark advance to balance engine rpm and torque to generate a reserve or torque that is delivered upon acceleration from a standstill. The competitive suspension includes the three-mode active damping system allowing drivers to select different suspension tuning. Auto mode delivers stiffness and comfort for daily driving. While sport mode delivers firmer handling and track mode gives you maximum handling performance with the stiffest suspension tuning.

The 2019 Charger R/T Scat Pack is powered by a 392 Hemi V-8 producing 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Launch assist and line lock now come standard on the Scat Pack along with sport-tuned suspension with Bilstein high-performance shock absorbers for improved balance, cornering ability, and steering responsiveness. The R/T Scat Pack also comes with high-performance four-piston Brembo brakes.

Under the hood of the R/T you'll find a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine making 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. The R/T received new race-bred chassis upgrades, standard performance suspension, and a steering wheel with paddle shifters. The all-wheel-drive SXT model comes with a Pentastar V6 engine that makes 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. The V6 engine can deliver up to 27 miles per gallon on the highway. The 2019 RWD Charger GT uses the same Pentastar V6 engine as the AWD SXT but now comes with a performance hood, race-bred chassis upgrades, enhanced steering with paddle shifters, a standard performance suspension. The base model RWD Charger SXT is powered by a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine making 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
